My password is no longer working.

If your password was working recently and is no longer working, your password has probably expired. DU passwords expire every 365 days. When your password expired, an email was sent to your preferred email address (set in myDU) to remind you to change your password.

If your password has expired and you are off-campus or in the residence halls, you can reset your expired password by using the DU Password Manager at https://mypassword.dom.edu. You must verify the two challenge questions you selected when you first enrolled in the DU Password Manager before you can reset your password.

If your password has expired and you are on-campus, you can reset your expired password by entering your old password and then entering your new password (twice) in the Windows Change Password dialog box. You can also contact the IT HelpDesk at (708)524-6888.

If your password has not expired but you are not able to log in to the network, your account may be temporarily locked. To prevent password spoofing, the system automatically locks network accounts for 15 minutes if the password is entered incorrectly six times in two minutes. If you think this might be the reason you cannot log in, wait 15 minutes before attempting to log in again, or unlock you account by using the DU Password Manager at https://mypassword.dom.edu.

You can also contact the IT HelpDesk at (708)524-6888 to have your password reset or unlocked.
