New Student Orientation sessions will be held at the beginning of the semester at each campus. See your acceptance letter for further information.
New students registering for the first time MUST meet with their advisor personally to complete necessary paperwork.
Contact information
for the advisor can be found on the student's acceptance letter. Online registration is not available for new students registering for the first time.
Proof of Immunization is required from all students prior to the first day of class. Fines will be assessed for failure to comply. Click
here
to download a copy of the immunization form. To learn more about the Wellness Center click

.
New students can obtain ID cards and
parking permits
from the Campus Support Center in the lower level of Lewis Hall. A parking permit is required to park in the university lots and parking garages.
All Dominican University students are expected to utilize a Dominican University e-mail account when communicating with the university. It is important that students check their e-mail account regularly to receive important information. Accounts for new students are automatically generated within 24 to 48 hours when they register for class for the first time.
Technology assistance with emails, canvas, and printing etc. can be found
here
.
Students who need to be placed for field experience assignments will need to complete the Background Check Authorization process. Click
here
for more information on this process.
Make sure that you understand the financial policies of the university. Tuition is due in full by the first day of each semester unless you have elected a payment plan. Tuition refunds for dropped classes are given according to a sliding scale based on the week of the semester, which can be found
here
. Please refer to the
Student Accounts MyDU page
for specific information.
Non-attendance at class does not constitute an automatic drop. If you want to drop a class, you must file the
appropriate paperwork
with the Registrar's office or drop the class online.
