The Rose K. Goedert Center for Early Childhood Education, directed by the Dominican University School of Education, provides quality early childhood education to children two to six years of age from the families of students, faculty and staff of the university and local community.  The NAEYC accredited center is housed in a new cutting edge facility on the Dominican University Priory Campus at 7200 W. Division Street, River Forest, Illinois, and is staffed by certified early childhood educators.

The School of Education sponsors the Psi Chi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international education honor society.  Persons are inducted into the society annually in recognition of their scholarship, leadership, professionalism and worthy educational goals. 
 

Undergraduate students may qualify for membership if they meet the following qualifications:

 - Have a current GPA of 3.00

 - Are second semester sophomores (completed 45 semester credit hours).

 - Have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program

 

The deadline to apply for 2018 membership in Kappa Delta Pi is Friday, March 9, 2018. You must submit the application to both the local Dominican Chapter and the national Kappa Delta Pi membership by this deadline. There are 2 sets of dues required: $30 for the local chapter membership (checks made payable to DU) and $48 for the national membership (paid directly to KDP online).

Remember to submit your application by Friday, March 9, 2018. The KDP induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:30pm in Parmer 108.
