Student Data and Personal Information

Web publishers are required to use all information, in particular confidential or personal data, in accordance with university policy and to obtain permission when required. Any published information must be in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), as amended. As a general rule, check with the Registrar before placing any student data on the university's public web server.

Personal information (home addresses and phone numbers, age, etc.), about faculty and staff members is also confidential and should be treated accordingly. When in doubt, ask the faculty or staff member about having their information posted.

Photos of minors require written permission or a completed Dominican University release form signed by a parent/guardian.
